Dr. Shahnaz has 42 years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology she is among the most experienced Gynaecologist in the country having completed her MBBS from the prestigious Fatima Jinnah Medical College, has worked in Khoula & Royal Hospital in the capacity of senior consultant, Her previous assignments include prestigious employers like the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Royal Berkshire Hospital Reading, (UK), Heatherwood Hospital Ascol (UK) Hammersmith Institute of Obg & Gynae, UK.
Has a special interest in the management of high-risk pregnancies, medical disorders in pregnancy, and endoscopic gynecologic surgery. She has special experience in the management of abnormal cervical smears, colposcopy, and screening for gynecological malignancies. She has attended multiple courses in Pakistan, UAE, the UK, and the USA.
Has vast experience in pregnancy obstetric complicated cesarean sections, she has performed more than 4500 cesarean sections, and has vast experience in doing forceps and vacuum deliveries. She is experienced in performing all types of gynecological procedures, endoscopic surgeries, and gynecological ultrasounds.
She has unique experience in managing abnormal cervical smears, colposcopy, and the management of preinvasive disease of the cervix.
She has a special interest in quality assurance programs and has been an active member of the hospital quality assurance committee. She has published many papers in indexed medical journals and has a strong academic background.
