Dr. Aseel Altaee graduated from Almustanseriya University in 1993 one of the biggest & oldest Universities in Iraq – Baghdad. She took up several training jobs in Obstetrics & Gynecology in various Government and private hospitals in Baghdad before completing her postgraduate in the specialty in 2000 from Baghdad University. Working in large departments dealing with large volumes of patients has helped her in honing her skills in managing all kinds of emergency and complicated obstetric and gynecologic cases in the biggest hospital in Baghdad ( Al Elwiya maternity & teaching hospital). Dr Aseel moved to Muscat, Oman in 2006 and since has become a very popular Gynecologist in private sector and kept herself updated with the latest advances in the specialty. She is well known in the community for her campaigns against Breast cancer & Cervical cancer and is a regular writer of various medical columns in the print media to educate the public on different subjects. She is giving lecturers as a part of awareness program about Breast & Cervical cancer in many organizations & ministries through NACA (National Association Cancer Awareness) as she was one of the board executive member. Dr Aseel Altaee’s clinical expertise include, Antenatal and High risk Obstetrics & maternity care, covering labour & deliveries as normal vaginal deliveries, Emergency & Elective Cesarean Sections. Family planning ( Intrauterine device & oral contraceptives), 2D and 4D Ultrasound, treating infertility cases including IUI, Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy Hysterosonography, Hysterosalpengiography (HSG), laparoscopy, Hormonal manipulations for treatment of menopause, Gynecological surgeries like Hysterectomy, Myomectomy , posterior & anterior vaginal repair, suction curettage , D&C & other gynaecological surgeries.
