The Starcare Group which started its journey
in 2010 in Oman has made remarkable progress in establishing itself as the
benchmark for accreditation quality healthcare in the country. The group has
expanded its footprints beyond Oman to India and UAE in the past years apart
from the ambitious super speciality projects in progress. Clearly, on the verge
of a new horizon, the group is in need of strong and multifaceted leader with
astute business acumen. The Chairman and Board of Directors unanimously
nominated Mr Nasser Batha, Founding Partner of the Group to assume responsibility
as the CEO of Starcare Group in Oman.
A sought after management professional and a
passionate entrepreneur, Nasser Batha has been heading business units of

maker, Nasser benefits from his vast experience in the Middle East and Europe
part from his ability to handle seven languages. He would be responsible for
all the operating units of Starcare in Oman including hospitals at Seeb, Barka

able to shape the Corporate strategy in line with the expansion plans of the
group and the specific requirements of Oman.” said Dr Askar Kukkadi, Managing
Director, Starcare Group.
The healthcare sector in Oman is undergoing
rapid changes highlighted by the presence of private hospitals and the
government initiatives to encourage private sector and PPP ventures. Oman is a
youthful country with strong economic indicators and rising population along
with prevalence of chronic diseases indicating the need for customized
healthcare solutions. Starcare has always believed in adapting the Western
standards of quality to suit the healthcare requirements of the nation. “It is
my personal goal to increase opportunities for Omani nationals, train and
enhance their skills in the process to develop a sustainable healthcare
delivery model” commented Nasser Batha in his interaction with the staff
members. The group is planning to add 400 beds in the next 5 years including
the prestigious Starcare Healthcity Muscat and a chain of low-cost clinics.
