Minister of Health, Brunei ,Dr.Hj Zulkarnain Hj Hanafi, and other senior officials visits STARCARE HOSPITAL

Brunei Health Minister visits Starcare. 03rd December, 2016, Seeb: The JCI Accredited Starcare Hospital at Seeb, considered the benchmark of quality healthcare in the private sector was visited by Honourable Dato Dr Zulkarnain Bin Haji Hanafi, Minister of Health of Brunei Darussalam accompanied by a host of dignitaries from Brunei, high delegation from MOH, Oman, officials from Royal Oman Police and the press. The delegation was received at Starcare by Mr Yahya Abdullah Al Busaidi Director of Starcare Hospital and Mr C M Najeeb, Vice Chairman Starcare Group in the presence of Dr Naseem, CEO, Starcare and Starcare Staff Team. Starcare group has been in the forefront of driving change in the delivery of healthcare by adopting most modern practices and maintaining stringent standards of clinical excellence. The hospital is credited to be among the few elite hospitals to have achieved JCI Certification in its first year of operations, the only ISO 14001 certified hospital in the Sultanate and also selected by MOH for implementation of Patient Friendly Initiative by MOH. The adherence to highest standards of Quality has redefined the private healthcare sector in Oman and Starcare has been at the forefront of driving the change. Touring the hospital, Dr Zulkarnain Bin Haji Hanafi remarked on the quality systems and process in place, and applauded its unique distinction of being accredited JCI (USA) from the very first year of its opening and has been reaccredited again in 2015. Dr Mohammed Naseem, CEO Starcare Hospital and Ms Marianna Kortez, Chief Nursing Officer escorted the team during the tour of the hospital, familiarizing the departments and explaining the patient safety protocols. The delegates appreciated the level of service and the availability of a truly multi lingual workforce. A discussion on similar challenges facing the countries of Oman and Brunei in Health care was discussed. Starcare has managed to attract health tourists among the best of physicians in the country, the hospital offers treatment across more than 35 Specialties ranging from complex Orthopedic Surgeries, Urology Services and other Laparoscopic Surgeries apart from specialized care packages, exclusive mother and child packages, nutritional assessment and so on. The hospital has two state of the art operation theatres and a fully equipped accident and trauma unit to deal with any emergencies.
